IATA: "Love and plane are in the air every day"
Love is in the air said the lyrics of the old song by John Paul Young and IATA celebrates the Valentine’s Day by uploading a video on Facebook page showing a plane shaping a big heart while moving into clear skies .
The International Air Transport Association quoted on social media page that: “Love and airplane are in the air every day. Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone!”
Its true that many love stories have been created during flights and many couples have met for first time and live happily ever after. Like Danniel flight Attendant who met his wife on plane while both working as flight attendants.
Danniel shares his romantic story on globalmail.com forum regarding inflight romantic stories and wrote that:” One of the biggest surprises of my life was meeting my hubby on a Canada 3000 flight. It was almost 14 years ago, and we were both flight attendants at the time. We were working the same aisle on the flight and every time he passed me the orange juice over our drink cart, I blushed like mad. He asked me if I was okay
much to my embarassment. We were married at the Millcroft Inn in Alton, Ont., one year later.”
Airlines usually are suckers of love stories. For instance on a Jetblue flight when they learnt that their frequent flier Adam wants to propose to his five years girlfriend on board then a eights teams of the airline and the airport have collaborated to create the perfect scene for a will you marry me proposal.
The plan was set up from the moment the flight from San Sanfrancisco reached its cruising altitude and the inflight entertainment program opened where the entire cabin had a look on the romantic video made by Jetblue’s marketing team and which just telling the story.
“She was a hostess. I was a server. At first he hated me. She thought I was arrogant and I wouldn’t give me a chance to provide otherwise. But then I convinced her to come to my birthday and then to the lake and finally on a first date. That was back in 2008” displayed on screens of the plane instead of movies or the map that usually airlines use to entertain their customers during the flight.
So the bride Taryl could not believe in her eyes started to crying and then Adam has kneeled and took her hand asking her to marry him the girl bursting into tears managed to say: “Yes I do” .
Upon their arrival at airport a lovely ceremony with drinks and sweets being made by airport operation and of course among the applauses smiles and wishes everyone on that particular flight 1437 enjoyed the happiness of the new engaged couple.
